Fending: Fending can occur in all Tackle rugby (pushing an opponent away), however

in J6 it is illegal to fend or push to the neck or the head region. Note: If the fend to the neck or

the head looks dangerous the offender can be penalized for dangerous play.

Specials: Specials can receive the ball at the front or the back of a lineout but Specials

cannot be used to dominate team tactics – e.g. run off the front or back of a lineout or run off

the back of scrum (i.e. be the 1st receiver after a penalty or free kick).

Scrum Half: Must stand by the tunnel next to his opposite. He can leave this area after the

ball is out of the back of the scrum (i.e. chase the halfback or retire to the hindmost feet.)
